“Hi there. My name is Oli and I'm an Icelander and guide. I'm based about 30 minutes outside Reykjavik and have been guiding in Iceland for 40 some years. I started off taking friends and friends of friends around the country, especially into the less-known interior, and did that casually for 15 years. For the last 26, I have run my own operation helping international travelers discover Iceland.
I travel around 250-280 days of the year and have done since 1985. In all this time I have never had enough of Iceland’s astonishing landscape. I make itineraries with my clients beforehand and, when they want a guide, love to show them around, take them to the secrets of my island, and join in on their surprises.

I have hiked, ridden horses, biked, and driven vehicles all over Iceland and know almost every square inch of this island. Plus I have countless contacts all over the countryside.I know owners of restaurants, hotels, good local guides, activity companies, hospitable farmers in the interior - you never know when the next bathroom will be or when you'll need impromptu accommodation - and even the police at some places (for good reasons 😊). Whether you’re looking for help with your itinerary and making your own arrangements or looking for a guide to accompany you, it’s my pleasure to help you get the most out of your trip to my country."
