A note from Mirco:
"Hi guys, I'm Mirco! I'm a licensed tour leader, hiking guide, and videographer based in Catania.
I was born in Milan to Sicilian parents, and as a kid I was always extremely curious about my ancestral roots and the land my parents had come from. So, at the age of 24 I decded to return to my origins and moved to Catania, and have been based here ever since.
With an intense passion for all things Sicily, I immediately set out to "devour" the island, and I spend a good portion of every year traveling to every corner and unearthing our spectacular natural areas, gorgeous little cities, and forgotten villages.
In an effort to share my discoveries with the world and promote these spectacular and often overlooked places, I began producing documentaries about my travels. In these videos, I focus on showcasing the real Sicily, places that only locals know about and which have been untouched by mass tourism. Thankfully, my work has gained a bit of recognition, and I'm now becoming fairly well known here, especially for my efforts to show this more authentic side of Sicily.

The famous places in Sicily are famous for a reason (they are spectacular!), but this island has so much more to offer in addition to the "highlights". This is a land so diverse that we locals often refer to it as a continent, and within a relatively small space you'll find amazing beaches, undisturbed nature preserves, impressive mountains, beautiful cities and towns, and incredible archeological sites.
And of course, as I'm sure you know, Sicily is worldwide famous for its terrific food distinct from the rest of Italy and which changes signficantly as you travel from east to west.
