We can begin the tour anywhere, but a good starting point is at the Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna. We’ll walk up the elegant 135 steps, created in 1725, which lead to the majestic church Trinità dei Monti. Here you’ll see the church’s ancient Roman obelisk located in a charming square surrounded by some of Rome’s most luxury shopping houses.
From here, we’ll proceed to the Trevi Fountain (with the option for an excellent gelato stop nearby!) and then on to Piazza Venezia where we’ll admire the Vittoriano monument, often known in the USA as the “wedding cake.” From here, we’ll head on to the Pantheon before making our way to Piazza Navona to admire the square and its stunning fountain. Our last stop would be at St. Peter’s square, already entering the Vatican state.

While here, we'll explore the museums, collection of classical statues, stunning tapestries, ancient geographical maps, and learn lots of gossip and stories about the Popes before finishing at the Sistine Chapel.
After the Vatican, for those interested, we can walk over to St. Peter’s Basilica which we can visit together or on your own. For anyone feeling energetic, climbing the dome to enjoy the beautiful view is a treat!
Depending on the time of day, once we finish up I'd be happy to take you by my favorite gelato place and show you a great little restaurant just steps from the Vatican that is still somehow a hidden gem!
